On November 23 at Tavrichesky Palace of Saint Petersburg the delegation headed by the RA NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan took part in the works of the 38th plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary (IPA) of the CIS. The Speaker of the Federal Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Chairperson of the IPA CIS Valentina Matviyenko was presiding over the session. The representative from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), the member of the Italian Senate Francesco Amoruso addressed the session with a welcoming speech. Mrs Matviyenko welcomed that idea and proposed his colleagues to discuss that initiative. One of the main items of the plenary session of the Assembly was the issue on the development of cooperation between the CIS participant-states in the joint use of the Universe territory through peaceful purposes, which presented the deputy of the State Duma, the member of the Roscosmos Collegium Oleg Savchenko. In the course of the session a number of issues were also discussed, which were summed up in the joint press conference.
